Absolute Beginner Ballet. Dancers will learn classical ballet techniques and terminology. Each class focuses solely on barre work.

Express It! Dance Fitness (Open Adult)

6:00pm - 7:00pm

Express It ! Dance Fitness Class is a heart-pumping, muscle-toning, dance party! Open Level (Basic through Advanced). Modified instruction provided.

Hip Hop Variations (Open Adult)

7:00pm - 8:00pm

Open Level (Basic through Advanced) Hip Hop Class. Teaches isolations, street dance movement, and high energy moves inspired by contemporary music and vernacular dance. Students will learn to develop their style and be influenced by some of today’s hottest choreographers. This class will consist of conditioning and warm-up, simplified break down of each dance step, skill combinations and choreography.

Tuesday

Ballet/Pointe (Adult/Teen)

5:00pm - 6:00pm

This class will work with ballet technique in both slippers and pointe shoes.

Class size is limited to 6 dancers.

Ballet (Adult)

6:00pm - 7:00pm

Dancers will learn classical ballet techniques and terminology. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations.

Class size is limited to 6 dancers.

Somatic Stretch & Flexibility with the Franklin Method (Open Adult)

7:00pm - 8:00pm

Somatic Discovery with Franklin Method is where the focus is on body recuperation. Through the use of Franklin Method, a diverse body-work method founded by Eric Franklin, we’ll dive into ways of how to become more self aware of when our bodies need attention and how to get it moving with efficiency.

Materials are supplied (yoga mats, Franklin Method equipment, etc.). Class size is limited to 6 dancers.

Wednesday

Tap: Intermediate/Advanced (Adult)

6:00pm - 7:00pm

Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Tap exercises focus on building flexibility in both the knees and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

This class is for a tapper with experience! The class moves at a fast pace.

Thursday

Jazz Variations (Adult)

5:00pm - 6:00pm

Beginner/Intermediate Level Jazz Class. This class is taught using basic jazz foundation taught in the style of Luigi, Verdon, and Fosse.

Class size is limited to 6 dancers.

Contemporary (Adult)

6:00pm - 7:00pm

Beginner/Intermediate Level Contemporary Class. Contemporary class is designed for dancers with previous training in ballet and modern. Students will explore partnering and weight sharing exercises combined with basic techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. It emphasizes interpretation of music while telling a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract.
